Dr. Gabriel Chiu devotes his time specializing in the precise art of aesthetic plastic surgery. He is a reconstructive surgeon who earned his degree from the University of California Berkeley in Microbiology and Immunology.
Gabriel finished medical school in Southern California at the Western University of Health Sciences. He attended an internship in the Henry Ford Health System located at Bi-County Community Hospital. Dr. Chiu went on to start his residency for general surgery in Detroit, Michigan as part of the St. John's Health System. He subsequently transferred to Cleveland, Ohio; attending Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. It was at this location he further excelled and became the Chief Resident in General Surgery.
Dr. Chiu began an extensive fellowship in reconstructive surgery and plastic surgery upon completion of his residency. His fellowship was at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Training here comprised of many facets including: trauma, microvascular, burn, wound care, pediatric, hand, craniofacial, cosmetic procedures and plastic surgery.
During his fellowship, Gabriel was chosen to be Chief Fellow of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was responsible for overseeing training of general surgery students, plastic surgery fellows, and oromaxillary facial residents. Dr. Chiu additionally oversaw medical students from the following facilities: Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY, Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA, St. Mary's Medical Center in Langhorn, PA and Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Once training was successfully completed in reconstructive and plastic surgery, Dr. Chiu came home to California. He currently practices in Beverly Hills and Encino, California. Having so much experience with satisfied patients of all ages makes Dr. Chiu an ideal choice.
